Get Blog Traffic: Why a Few Bloggers Get Most of the Traffic (And How You Too Can Join Them)

Problogger gets blog traffic in the millions every single month without fail. If you study the blog site well, you will find that any post being made on the blog will always provoke around 40 comments at the very least. This means that there are many more people who read Problogger without leaving a comment.

Another high traffic blog, Online Breakthrough, has received over 1 millions readers already. The traffic per day for this blog should be running into thousands.

There are so many other blogs like the two mentioned above. And the truth is that they have a secret.

So what do you think the secret is? Why do these people suck in all the traffic while others are struggling to get a few hundred visitors in a month.

A good number of them do what is called article marketing. But the real secret is this.

They churn out irresistible content and then post it on their blog.

Irresistible content is the real secret behind their huge blog monthly visitors. Irresistible content is what generates a huge monthly revenue for them.

And you too can create your own irresistible content for massive exposure to your blog starting from now.

Note: By content, I mean articles.

Don't Make Your Readers Think

To generate content that readers love, your writing must be crystal clear. That is, your readers must be able to comprehend what you have written without having to guess twice.

Don't make them think. Be clear. Be straight forward. And give them information that is easy to digest. No more, no less.

Most importantly, do not trick your readers. Give them the control and they will give you what you want. That is, to visit your blog, buy from you, click on your affiliate links, subscribe to your blog, and many more.

Do it any other way and you will drive people away. Bore readers. Lose money. You don't want any of that - do you?

Don't Be Flabby

That is, don't bit around the bush.

Give readers what they want. And do it comprehensively. But don't let "comprehensive" get into you. Be as brief as possible.

Be concise. Your sentences should be short and straight to the point. Any long paragraph should be broken down into shorter ones. And make sure you weed out unnecessary word.

What will you gain if you don't beat around the bush in your writing?

Well at least - you will become a good writer that readers love.

Best of all, writing clear and concise will take you far from being boring.

Be Interesting

This is of course very, very important. Your content must be interesting. Otherwise, you know what will happen.

It is just like a guy going on a date for the first time with a pretty lady. If the guy is not interesting or humorous, he his unlikely to win the heart of the lady.

The same also goes for the content that you write. Your content must be interesting. Compelling. Persuasive.

It must be able to tap into human mental feelings that pull people into your article whether they like it or not.

Johnny Truant recommends that your article must "uncover what makes your reader tick. What strokes his ego. What plucks his gut strings. What keeps him up at night. And when you uncover that hot spot, punch it."

To get blog traffic, your article must be interesting.

Build Blog Traffic - Is Article Marketing a Smart Traffic Strategy to Use?

In a three character word, YES. Article marketing is a smart traffic strategy to use if you want to build blog traffic.

Why?

Traffic that you get from article marketing will never run dry. The reason being that articles have a viral nature.

As long as they are great in terms of quality, they will be re-posted all over the net, bringing visitors to your blog without fail.

However, you need to pay good attention to this single most important element to make articles work for you.

Give your readers a nice, well-garnished article

Ever experienced eating a nice, well-garnished meat that made you bite your tongue before?

The fellow who prepared the meat did a very nice job, that was why you ate the meat, so delicious that it made you bite your tongue.

Your article must also do the same thing. It must be well prepared. It must be nice. And it must be well garnished with useful information. That is, you must use each article you write to solve a problem that your target visitor is desperately looking to find a solution to.

At the very least, make sure your article entertains the reader. In fact, it should do both. That is, your article should solve a pressing problem and at that same time be entertaining to the reader.

There is a great benefit for the solution and entertaiment that you provide in your articles: You will get your readers to keep reading your articles. They will always want more from you.

It is like you are giving them a gift for doing something very important for you. They too will also reward you by visiting your blog through the links that you place at the end of each article.

One word of caution: If your article does not solve a problem or entertain, you are asking the reader to do two things. Click the back button and never have anything to do with you again.

The result? You will lose trust. You will lose credibility. You won't be able to build blog traffic.

Avalanches of Traffic to Your Blog Using Nothing Else but Article Marketing?

Do you know that you can get avalanches of traffic to your blog using nothing else but article marketing?

I bet you don't. So read on to find out how to do it.

First off, your article must be darn good.

How?

Be a Good Friend, Someone Who Is Worth Listening To

If you want to get people to visit your blog using article marketing, you must be friendly in your articles. That is, you must write your articles as if you are talking to your friend.

If you are friendly in your articles, you will be someone who is worth listening to. And when you are someone who is worth listening to, people will naturally visit your blog through the links that you place at the end of your articles.

Of course you must sound like an authority in your articles. Naturally you will want to show that you know what you are saying. But don't let it get into you. Never be an expert who won't admit any fault.

Wait a minute. Do you know what your target audience actually want?

They want you to be someone who they can share their problems with. Someone who can solve their problems. Someone who is really cool, smart and trustworthy. Someone who is ready to also respect their own point of view.

If you can be that person, you will the hearts of your readers forever. They will continue to visit your blog. And as an added benefit, they will tell other people about you. Word will spread, and I hope you know what that means.

Never Sound Salesly in Your Articles

Or create an article for the sole purpose of selling something to your audience.

Too many people make this mistake in their articles. They believe that the only way to get people to visit their blogs to do business with them is by writing articles that directly sell their products and services.

But they are wrong.

Your article should never sound as if you selling anything. It should never even sound as if you are trying to get people to visit your blog.

Instead use your article to address underlying objections that might keep someone from buying.

Use it to tell interesting stories about how others have benefited from your offering. And use it to show your reader how much he needs to get your offer.

Do you know what?

A reader has to trust you. He has to like you before he can proceed to buy from you or click on your affiliate link so that you will make the sale.

And that is where your article comes in. If it is well-written it will give you the time to get your audience to like and trust you. It will give you the time to build a strong relationship that will help you build avalanches of traffic to your blog.

The Most Powerful Way to Get Traffic for Blog

If you want to get traffic for blog, the most powerful way to do it is to write promotional articles about the subject matter of your blog. You then will need to submit the promotional articles to reputable ezine publishers and article directories.

However, if you want promotional articles to work for you, you must write in a conversational way. That is, you must write as if you are talking to the next door neighbor that you are familiar with.

To do this, you must avoid writing in a simple statement of opinion. In other words, offer more than just your opinion.

Give your readers something that they can personally reflect on.

Brian Clark of Copyblogger is very good at this.

His blog is full of conversational articles.

There was a time when he disclosed that one of the conversational articles he wrote brought him over 70,400 visitors and that the same article is still bringing him new visitors every single day. Can you imagine that?

Tell Your Readers a Story

Your article will be more conversational if you tell readers a story.

Why a story?

A story is something that will bring out a vivid mental imagery in the minds of your readers, based on their own memories of experiences, says Brian Clark of Copyblogger.

Tell your readers a story and they will more likely see and agree with your point of view, which will eventually lead them to your blog.

A story in your articles is like the joining of a man and woman in a weeding ceremony. It will connect you with your readers and help you sell on your ideas and authority in a way that is engaging.

It is the engaging way that you sell your ideas and authority in your articles that will make readers click on links to your blog at the end of the article.

The result? You will get traffic for blog in leaps and bounds.

Get Traffic for Your Blog - The Little but Really Useful Guide

The only way to get traffic for your blog is to write articles about the topic of your blog.

You will then need to use the articles you have written in a special way. That is, you will need to publish your articles in high traffic article directories so that you can get people to visit your blog through the links that you place at the end of each article.

I know this sounds simple - but it is the method I have personally used myself to generate 8,000 daily visitors to just one of my blogs.

It all starts with the kind of articles that you write...

If you want this method to work for you, don't write boring articles.

Your article must be interesting. It must be persuasive. It must be compelling. Anything less won't generate the visitors you need.

Of course the key is to write conversational articles. Write your articles exactly the way you talk to your friends or the next door neighbor that you are familiar with. This is the only way to make a difference.

Jonathan Morrow, Senior Editor of Copyblogger, is a master at this. You can always depend on Jonathan to write the kind of articles that will grab your attention and convey points as if he were talking to you, one on one.

To write conversational articles that will generate floods of visitors to your blog, avoid writing only in a simple statement of opinion. That is, offer something more than just your opinion.

Give them something that they can relate to on a personal level.

Example:

Let us imagine that you are writing to teach your reader how to write a great blog post and that though the headline is important, it isn't everything.

You could say something like this. This is in fact, an excerpt from one of Jonathan Morrow's writings.

"Writing a great blog post is like running a relay race. Your headline starts the race, but then it passes the baton to your opening paragraph, and its job is done. Sure, it's important to start the race well, but what if the next guy falls on his face, then how well the first guy did doesn't much matter, does it? Every piece has to do its part."

Conversational articles will always help you get traffic for your blog.

How to Get Blog Traffic, Simplified

If you want to know how to get blog traffic in a very simple way, read this article.

As opposed to what many bloggers do say, getting people to visit your blog is not difficult. In fact, it is quite easy. That is, if you understand how to write and use persuasive promotional articles.

Using persuasive promotional articles is the easy part - so we will leave that out for now.

Our main focus will be on doing the actual writing - since it is your articles that people will read before clicking to your blog to see what else you have for them.

Let's get started.

Start with an Important Promise

Persuasive promotional articles will always start with an important promise.

And this has to do with your article title (what some people refer to as the headline) and your opening paragraph. Ask yourself what is in it for the reader. What will they gain by reading your article? Are there one or two benefits you have that you think they might be interested in? Convey them through your article title and opening paragraph.

I can't stress this enough - but your article must focus on the reader. Just as I have said earlier on, tell readers what is in it for them. Never allow your reader to question why they bothered to pay attention in the first place.

You Must Have a Compelling Main Idea

Your article is useless if it does not have something that it can hold on to.

Present a main idea that is compelling in your article and you will shine.

The idea must be interesting, persuasive - and must tap into the emotions of the reader.

If your target reader is addicted to acoustic guitars, talk about the latest and best-selling acoustic guitars in town. What if he is looking for a house loan? Tell him where he can get the very best bargain without much of a hassle.

You article should also have a main purpose that supports your bigger point.

Be Specific in What You Write

Online, most readers won't read anything that is too long.

They want straight-to-the-point stuff. So give them what they want by saying what they want in a specific and concise manner.

Master copywriter, Brian Clark, says:

"Be ultra-specific in your assertions. Always give reasons why."

Be Authoritative

It is important that you sound like an expert in your writing if you want your articles to be persuasive.

You must show your audience that you know what you are saying. Otherwise, they won't believe what you write and they won't visit your blog.

Show credibility by using testimonials in your articles. Link out to other experts and prominent bloggers in the topic that your blog is also about. Use statistics and cold hard facts to buttress your points.

Whatever you do, just make sure that you are authoritative in your writing. Show that you are the master of what your article is about. People will fall over themselves to visit your blog if you do this.

Restate the Hook and Promise

Something must have definitely gotten the attention of your reader before bothering to read your article in the first place.

What got his attention is your hook. It is the promise that you made to him so that he can read your article.

Restate the promise again in your article. It will show him that he is still on course.

Offer Something Valuable

Nothing more will make your reader happy than giving him something that is of value to him.

If he is an average guitarist, give him free software that he can use to improve his ear training. If he is a lover of diamond jewelry, give him a reasonable discount for a limited time.

You also need to be bold when you present your offer. Be firm and say it as it is.

Whatever it is, give your reader something valuable. Or he will just hit the back button to find somebody else who provides valuable information with an irresistible offer.
